Prem – Hepple pair keeps Poulton top of the tree
Nick Hepple followed his weekend hat-trick with another two goals as Poulton maintained their fine start to the season.
Hepple struck in both halves to help Poulton defeat Thornton Cleveleys 3-2 on their own patch to make it three wins from four.
Hepple’s first effort was cancelled out by Danny Haines only for Max Landless put Poulton back in front on the stroke of half-time. Hepple added a third before Billy Dollin’s injury time penalty was too little too late.
Poulton lead Burscough Richmond on goal difference after Anthony Murt’s men saw off CMB 5-2.
Burscough went two up through a Raj Singh-Uppal double only for Ben Thornton and Oliver Turner to hit back.
A Mike Galliers free-kick put Burscough back in the lead by half-time and Peter Armitage extended the lead on 82 minutes. Singh-Uppal completed his hat-trick late on.
Coppull are third after a come-from-behind win over Tempest United. Jordan Pendlebury put the visitors ahead with Nat Lindley replying. Jimmy McIver’s effort in the 56th minute was enough to secure three points for Mark Hine’s side.
A Luke Bradley double and one from Reece Pearce earned Slyne the win at Vickerstown, Scott Bradley for the hosts.
Manager Shaun Gardner was the toast of Milnthorpe after his injury-time goal secured a 4-3 win over Hurst Green.
Joe Savin struck early for Steve Cunningham’s visitors with Lewis Airey restoring parity. Hurst Green went into the break 2-1 up through Reece Rhodes but Cameron Hollywood and Chris Humphreys turned the match on its head.
James Nightingale thought he had earned his side a 3-3 draw with his 89th minute equaliser until Gardner stole the headlines.
10-man Lytham Town had a 3-1 win at Wyre Villa.
Turton's troubles in front of goal continued in a 2-0 home defeat to Fulwood Amateurs, Layton Kirnon getting both goals in the second half.
Division One – Edgar deposits another win for Bank
Kevin Edgar hit a hat-trick to keep Hesketh Bank’s 100% start to the season going.
The burly striker struck in the 34th, 70th and 74th minute in a 4-1 win over Lostock St Gerards. Tom Smyth got the other for the home side, Oliver Evans for Lostock St Gerards.
Rossendale are hot on their heels after seeing off plucky Stoneclough 3-2.
Jack Cassidy opened the scoring on 22 minutes but Josh Hill struck at the start of the second-half for Stoneclough.
Adam McInnes put Rossendale back in the lead shortly after, only for Stoneclough to equalise again via Aaqil Campbell.
Luke Simpson sealed the away win with 11 minutes left on the clock.
Ulverston Rangers dropped points for the first time this season with a 2-1 reverse at Kendal County.
It was looking good for the visitors when Ronan Simpson put them ahead but a Jacob Carway penalty and Matthew Casson strike sealed the win for Kendal.
Two from Jordan Williams and further goals from Theo Wilson and Ben McDonald saw Millom defeat Crooklands Casuals 4-1.
Carnforth Rangers recovered from an early setback to beat Horwich St Mary's Victoria 3-1.
Farham Ogingbola gave the away side an early lead but within 10 minutes Carnforth were ahead thanks to two goals from Tom Knight.
Kyle Davis added a third on 25 minutes to make it seven points from four games for the newly-promoted side.
Haslingden St Mary’s also came from behind to win 2-1 at Eagley.
Vlad Spiridon put Eagley ahead after five minutes, with Alfie Edmundson and Jack Thomson replying in the second half for the away win.
Will Hinde and Lee Irving both scored twice in Askam United’s 6-2 defeat of Hawcoat Park.
Josh Jones and Aiden Pearson also got in on the act for Askam, with Andy Whiteford and Tom Hammond for Hawcoat Park.
Croston Sports beat Southport Hesketh 3-1 - Mark Forshaw with a double and Stephen Mercer with the other in the first half. Muhammed Samateh pulled one back in the second period.
Division Two – Bailey toast of Walney with latest matchball
James Bailey hit his fourth hat-trick in 11 days as Walney Island crushed Dalton United 8-1 to maintain their top spot after four games.
Dalton actually took the lead through Robbie McMurdo on 10 minutes but then Walney hit back with a vengeance, going in at the break 5-1 thanks to a Zach Walker hat-trick, one from Bailey and a Will Boulton effort.
Bailey hit two more in the second half and Reece Craig also got on the scoresheet in the romp.
Freckleton’s fine start to the season continued with a 3-0 win over Pause United, Joe Bentley, Joe Brieley and Saul Hamer doing the damage.
Wes Bajrulla was the star of the show for Astley and Buckshaw, hitting all three in Astley’s 3-0 win over Charnock Richard Reserves.
Oliver Alston was another to enjoy a hat-trick in Chipping’s 9-1 win over Galgate.
Chipping raced out of the blocks, going two up inside two minutes through Greg Trimbell and Rick Coar.
Alston made it 4-0 at half time with Jack Fletcher’s brace making it six within 55 minutes.
Alston completed his hat trick and further goals from Coar and Jonny Bedford confirmed the rout, Esan Goldbourne for the visitors, who remain rooted to the bottom.
Daniel Briggs-Calvert scored twice in Storeys 3-1 win at Cartmel, who took the lead through Daniel Reeve on 20 minutes.
Briggs-Calvert fired in either side of half-time and Asa Stone completed the win five minutes from time.
In Monday’s match, Garstang Reserves recovered from going a goal down inside a minute to prevail 4-1 at AFC Blackpool Reserves.
Tarren Moxon was not caught napping to fire home with only seconds on the clock but Aaron Quigley replied immediately.
Tom Graham, Quigley again and Owen Pye made it 4-1 to the visitors.
On Wednesday, Burnley United battled back to draw 2-2 with Euxton Villa Reserves.
The visitors raced into an early lead through Ryan Doherty, which Lewis Sullivan doubled.
Harris Tomlinson halved the deficit with Joe Rodriguez on the hour levelling matters.
Holker Old Boys Reserves enjoyed a 2-1 win over Kendal United. Luke Mitchell and Daryl Foster put them two up at the break with Bailey Kenny pulling one back for Kendal in the second half.
