Barry Morris Euxton Villa

It is with deep sadness that Euxton Villa announce the death, after a long and courageous battle with illness, of Mr Barry Morris.
Having been involved in amateur football since a young kid, Barry was extremely well known and highly respected throughout the North West. He first became involved with Euxton as a junior when still a young kid, and maintained continuous involvement for well over fifty years until his passing, serving as junior player, senior player, manager, secretary and groundsman in his time, and was the main driving force in the evolution of Euxton Villa into the entity we have today. Not one to court the limelight, most of his work went on behind the scenes, but it is not unreasonable to say for most people, Barry was ‘Mr Euxton Villa’.
We will all greatly miss his wisdom and his quick wit, and of course our thoughts are with his wife Alma, children Peter and Sian and grandchildren Matthew, Leah and Lilly at this very sad time.
