In the Premier Division, Tempest United remain top, three points clear and unbeaten after a 4-0 win at home against Whitehaven.

They were 1-0 up at the break thanks to a Jordan Pendlebury penalty, that lead was extended in the second 45, courtesy of Elliott Hailwood, a Sam Parkinson penalty and Aaron Thorpe.

Another team who carried on their fine home form are Rossendale, who saw off Coppull United 3-0 after goals from Tom Hartley, Luke Simpson and Pierce Beetham.

Another team who won 3-0 on Saturday were Poulton, who beat CMB.

Burscough Richmond are now second in the table after beating Fulwood Amateurs, the team who started the day in that position, 3-1.

Billy Whittle got them ahead on 37 minutes before a Tom Broadfoot double after the break.

Aaron Hewitt pulled one back for Fulwood Amateurs from 12 yards but they couldn’t muster a comeback to secure Burscough Richmond's first ever win in the fixture following 4-0, 2-1, 5-1, 3-1 and 1-0 defeats in their past five visits since joining the league.

There was an extraordinary late comeback as Milnthorpe Corinthians drew 3-3 with Haslingden St Marys at home.

Haslingden looked set to win the game 3-1 thanks to Lewis Hanley, James Wright and an own goal in their favour, with Josh Coulthard scoring for Milnthorpe Corinthians.

However, the hosts got themselves back into it, winning a penalty in the 96th minute, which was converted by Nathan Hankinson, before Shaun Gardner equalised three minutes later.

Hill got a second goal of the game but it was sandwiched between two Theo Collinson goals for Fulwood Amateurs, 10 minutes apart either way from Hill’s goal.

Finally, Hurst Green Reserves rescued a point at home to Storeys of Lancaster Reserves.

After the hosts initially took the lead thanks to William Nicholls, Isaac Featon and Ryan Grimes put Storeys 2-1 up on the stroke of half time.

It looked like that would be the last of the goals as the second half went on but Daniel Mort scored in the third minute of time added on to secure a point for Hurst Green Reserves.

In the second round of the Lancashire Amateur Cup, CMB Reserves, Carnforth Rangers Reserves, Chipping Reserves and Thornton Cleveleys’ Reserves and A sides all progressed but it was the end of the road for Hesketh Bank Reserves and Turton Reserves.
