Division One Runners Up

Garstang F.C. Skipper Gaz Fawcett receives the Bay Radio West Lancashire League Div.1 Runners Up Trophy from Management Committee Member Chris Hysted after Saturday’s 3 – 1 home victory over Hawcoat Park. After a very competitive season Garstang finished 12 points in front of third placed Hesketh Bank but 10 points behind runaway leaders Norcross & Warbreck.
It has been a very successful season for Garstang and in particular for Iain Swan in his first full season as manager having joined as Number 2 to Mike Stringfellow last season and who subsequently departed for Lancaster City in the last close season. A club spokesman said, “Swany” has brought stability to the club by galvanizing the first, second and youth teams together, he has done a great job”
