Kendal Go Top.

Kendal County won the battle of the floods on Saturday beating Croston Sports Club 3-0 at home to go top of Division Two. It was 0-0 at the break but Kendal took the lead just after the re-start when Steven Lane put through his own goal. On 60 minutes Joe Baker doubled the home sides lead and Luke Selby put the game beyond doubt on 71 minutes to send Kendal top as CMB’s match away at Furness Cavaliers was washed out.

Stoneclough maintained their push for a return to Division One after coming from a goal down at home against Furness Rovers. Tom Clynch put the Barrow side ahead on 15 minutes only for Mark Gardner to level on 30 minutes for the home side. Sam Brooks bagged the winner for the Bolton side.

Bolton County also stayed in contention with a fine 3-1 win away at Leyland United. Adam Smith had put the home side ahead on 19 minutes only for Alex Todd and Liam Short to respond for County to make it 2-1 at the break. Matthew Ormerod’s penalty wrapped things up in stoppage time to send County up to 5th in the table

Walney Island climbed into the top half of the table with a 3-0 home win against the league’s bottom side Swarthmoor Social. A brace from Simon Basset and a goal Kieron Solway all in the first half gave Walney the points.

Millom’s match at home to Milnthorpe Corinthians was washed out.
