Mick Gornall and Jackie Rigg owners of the newly refurbished Farmers Arms have extended their sponsorship with Garstang Football Club for yet another year. The original sponsorship under the umbrella of the Kings Arms began in the late ninety's which must make it one of the longest running Sponsorships in the West Lancs. League.

“ Mick and Jackie have been great for Garstang Football Club” said Commercial Manager Les Taylor. “For a Sponsorship to work this long it has to be a two way deal that suits both parties and I would like to think that the Club has played its part” continued Les.

The “Farmers Arms” name appears on the back of all first and second team shirts, adding to that this season will be the name also on the shorts for which Mick and Jackie have agreed to provide hospitality for both teams following all first and second team games played at the Riverside.

Explaining the move Les Said, “We are obliged to look after the visiting teams who in turn give the hosts an hospitality mark that is passed on to the League. We are also committed to giving our Match Day Sponsors a day to remember but a lack of room has made it more and more difficult to achieve these objectives. In no way is it a snub to our own Social Club and we hope that the facility problem can be resolved in the not too distant future.”
