Garstang F.C. have moved quickly to replace the departed Paul Bailey and Alec Curwen by appointing former Defender Lee Baker as Reserve Team Manager.
29 years old Lee is a well known figure around Garstang Football Club being a member of the Team that won the West Lancashire Premier League in Season 2007-08 under Gary Hargreaves.
After nearly 5 seasons with the “Riversiders” Lee moved to A.F.C. Blackpool during which time he was part of the Team that was promoted to the North West Counties Premier League. A season with Burscough in the then Unibond League followed before moving back to the Fylde Coast with Squires Gate. Lee finally moved back to Garstang F.C. under Iain Swan but by this time Lee was struggling with a serious knee injury which limited his appearances.
A Club Spokesman said, “In his early days as a player with Garstang F.C.Lee coached the Juniors and has always showed an inclination to the the coaching and management side of the game.
We are delighted to have him on board and are confident in his ability to form the link between Youth and First Team football.”
