But first to league action and in the Premier Division, leaders Tempest United are now eight points clear at the summit - with a home unbeaten run intact - after a 2-0 win over Poulton.

Lostock St Gerards and Hurst Green couldn’t be separated thanks to a late goal in a 1-1 draw.
Ryan Fletcher gave Lostock the lead 17 minutes in and it looked like they would get the three points but Jordan Ratcliffe dramatically levelled things up in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time.
There was a rare occurrence this weekend in the West Lancashire League as Cleator Moor Celtic’s clash with Coppull United ended goalless.
In Division One, Hesketh Bank moved up to third after a comprehensive 8-1 win at home to Askam United.
Aidan Johnson, David Brookes and Peter Atkinson-Jones fired them into a 3-0 lead at the break and Kevin Edgar made it four just two minutes after the restart, before Ben Phizacklea’s consolation for Askam.
Neither Hesketh Bank nor Kevin Edgar were done there though. Edgar scored another two to complete a hat trick before Atkinson-Jones got a second and George Sergeant rounded off the goal action on 88 minutes.
Millom are five points clear at the top of Division One after a 2-1 win at home to Holker Old Boys Reserves
Jamie Pattinson and Callum High netted for the leaders before Faryl Foster pulled one back just before half time.
Slyne with Hest earned a vital win - their second of the season - as they beat Freckleton 3-2 away from home.
Callum Moore and Eddie Hemmington put Slyne two up at the break but Jack Warren and Tarren Moxon’s strikes levelled things up for Freckleton.
Slyne didn’t let their heads drop though and Ryan Hollings got them back in front late in the day to claim the win.
Turton secured a 2-1 win at Southport Hesketh, Ben McCabe and Sam Hulme got the goals for the visitors before the break.
Matthew Wignall scored inside the first minute of the second half but that couldn’t spark a comeback.
Croston Sports and Lytham Town drew 1-1, John Sharples cancelling out John Waite’s opener.
In Division Two, Caton United continued their fine form with a 5-2 win over Storeys of Lancaster, who hadn’t played for almost two months prior to thus weekend’s game.
Caton went into the break 2-1 up thanks to Kris Worsley and Lloyd Trippett scoring either side of a Joe Waring strike.
Tomas Sanchez made it three on 63 minutes and Ryan Close scored twice before Joe Waring added his and Storeys’ second on 90 minutes.
Pause United remain top - now by 17 points - after a 3-2 win away at Walney Island.
Jack Litherland gave the hosts the lead but Tom Knight equalised before the break.
Paul Jarvis put Pause United ahead six minutes after half time before, on the hour, Bailey Munrell brought his side back level.
The league’s leading scorer Zac Clark restored Pause’s lead five minutes later and that’s how it stayed.
Garstang Reserves edged past Charnock Richard Reserves in a 4-3 win, but it maybe should’ve been a lot more comfortable than it was.
Garstang were 3-0 up at one stage in the game thanks to Tom Graham, Joey Strawn and Sam Burton’s goals.
Just one minute after Burton’s strike - on 49 minutes, Charnock began their fightback: Ian Billington gave them a chance to get back into the game.

There were three away wins in Reserve Division One, starting with a 5-2 win for Tempest United Reserves at Chipping Reserves.
Leiden McLean, James Dean and Tim Raines gave Tempest a 3-0 lead prior to Gareth Jones’ goal just before the half time whistle.
Dean added a fourth for Tempest with 48 minutes gone but Kristian Bobby restored the two goal difference with a goal on 57 minutes.
Will Wright-Thompson made sure of the victory for fourth-placed Tempest on 81 minutes.
Fulwood Amateurs Reserves beat CMB Reserves 4-1 thanks to goals from Joey Higham, Wes Enoma and Alfie Raymond, with an own goal also being scored. Lewis Cullen was on target for the hosts.
Bottom side Rossendale Reserves got a hugely important win and a clean sheet as they beat Turton Reserves 1-0, Jack Mouncey scoring on 62 minutes.
In Reserve Division Two, Hurst Green Reserves got a 2-1 win away to Thornton Cleveleys A.
Liam Owen scored just before half time to put them ahead and that was followed up soon after the restart by Sam Hayes making it two.
Horatio Medley scored from the penalty spot to halve the deficit but Hurst Green Reserves held on to get the win.
Croston Sports Reserves also secured a 2-1 win on the road, with Jamie Lynch and Harry Bradley scoring either side of Tom Kelsey’s goal for Lytham Town Reserves.
Storeys Reserves and Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves settled for a point apiece in a 1-1 draw, with Issac Featon and Nick Grundy on the scoresheet for their respective sides.
In the Lancashire Amateur Shield quarter finals, Haslingden St Marys secured their place in the final four in style with a 6-1 win at Burscough Richmond.
Lewis Hanley scored a hat trick, with Haslingden’s other three goals courtesy of Alfie Edmondson, Alex White and Tom Brierley, that was all before Burscough Richmond’s solo reply from Jordan Lorde.
Eagley battled hard to secure their place in the semis with a 4-3 win over Carnforth Rangers.
Carnforth’s goals were scored by Joe Wilkinson, Joe Jobling and George Drake.
Fulwood Amateurs had a hat trick hero to thank for their progression in a 4-2 win over Chipping.
Spencer Lucas netted three, including two in the second half with the teams at level pegging, with Harrison Walsh also scoring for the hosts.
Gary Knight and Harris Bailey got Chipping’s goals.
A valiant CMB were 2-0 up at Golborne Sports FC but fell to a 4-2 defeat against the Cheshire Football League side.
Haslingden will host holders Fulwood Amateurs in the first semi-final on March 22 with Golborne Sports visiting Eagley on the same day.
In the quarter finals of the Westmorland Senior Cup, Kendal United eased past Westmorland Football League outfit Hest Bank United in a 5-0 win.
Lewis Airey and Marco Thompson scored either side of a Jamie Looker hat trick.
Milnthorpe Corinthians scored three goals in the final 10 minutes to earn their place in the last four, beating Kendal County 4-1.
County took the lead on 31 minutes through Louis Bigland but Jonny Voortman equalised on 48 minutes.
It looked increasingly like penalties may be in order but Nathan Hankinson’s 80th minute goal put Corinthians ahead.
Cameron Hollywood scored six minutes later and Hankinson added his second in injury time.
The first round of the Stewart Rowe Memorial Cup provided fans with a nine- goal thriller, with Blackpool Wren Rovers Reserves winning 5-4 against Pause United Reserves.
In an end to end and topsy-turvy game, Liam Wenman scored three of Blackpool Wren Rovers’ five goals, with Ben Seear and Tommy Handslip also netting.
Ben McMeeking, Ryan Worrall and Jay Wilkes (2) were on the scoresheet for Pause, who were just edged out in an exhilarating contest.
