Saturday marked the concluding weekend of the Premier Division season, with all eyes on the fight for survival.
Heading into the final day, Milnthorpe Corinthians, Lytham Town and Vickerstown were in a three-way fight to beat the drop, knowing only one would remain in the division next season.
Milnthorpe Corinthians started the day in pole position, and knew a point at Coppull United would all but guarantee safety.
However, a Luke Power penalty, along with goals from Taylor Brickell and Ethan Ingram, would see the hosts seal a 3-0 win, opening the door for either Lytham Town or Vickerstown to pull off a great escape.
However, it wasn’t to be, as goals from Daniel Crook and Dylan Winstanley saw CMB win 2-0 at Lytham Town, whilst Turton beat Vickerstown 4-2.
Vickerstown had at one point led 2-1 through goals from Jack Litherland and Scott McDonald, after a Dylan Jeffs had earlier opened the scoring.
However, Jack Griffin and Morgan Griffiths would strike to help Turton retake the lead, before Ben McCabe added a fourth to seal the result late on.
Elsewhere, champions Burscough Richmond couldn’t quite end their season with maximum points, drawing 2-2 at Slyne with Hest.
Goals from Raj Singh-Uppal and Peter Armitage were cancelled out by the hosts’ Regan Crossley and Josh Draycott, not that it did much to dampen the mood of the visitors, on the day they were officially presented with the Premier Division title.
A late Will Simm strike saw Fulwood Amateurs fight from 3-1 down to win 4-3 at Tempest United, with the winner coming in the final minute of normal time.
Josh Firth and Jacob Greenhalgh gave the hosts a two-goal lead, a cushion which Greenhalgh would restore with his second of the game after Jonty McDonald had pulled one back for Fulwood Amateurs.
However, a brace from the aforementioned Simm, along with a goal from Sam Higham, would the see the visitors complete an impressive second half turnaround.
Thornton Cleveleys would also come from behind to win on the road, eventually triumphing 2-1 through goals from Brett Dawson and Archie Lang, that after Jacob Gregory had given hosts Poulton the lead after seven minutes.
And we round off another season of Premier Division action at Wyre Villa, where a stoppage time winner saw the hosts claim a 2-1 win.
Zach Adeyo opened the scoring for Wyre Villa 19 minutes in, only to see his goal cancelled out by a second half Danny Mort equaliser.
However, Maleck Tanou would find the net in the 92nd minute to restore his side’s lead and ultimately seal all three points.
There remains another week of action left to play out in Division One, and there is still a significant amount to yet to be decided, not least in the race for second, which took a big swing in the favour of Rossendale this weekend.
First half goals from Will Foster, Scott Wylie, Tom Hulme and Tom Hartley sealed a 4-0 win for Rossendale, which sees them move above Hesketh Bank into that second promotion with a game in hand.
Meanwhile, Croston Sports and Crooklands Casuals had a memorable end to their respective seasons, as the two sides played out a 4-4 draw.
Crooklands Casuals had at one point led 3-0 thanks to two goals from Luke Armstrong, either side of a Nathan Shaw strike.
However, they would also find themselves 4-3 down, as Ryan Fletcher struck twice, include one from the spot, and Dion Holden and Mark Tugman also found the net to complete a remarkable turnaround.
There was to be one final twist, however, as Lee Irving levelled the scores once more to ensure that the points would be shared.
Horwich St Mary’s Victoria also completed their campaign this weekend, and signed off in style with a 5-2 win over Stoneclough.
Scott Adamson and Dan Wyatt both scored twice in the win, after Jordan Prescott had got things going five minutes in.
Stoneclough’s goals were scored by Aquill Campbell and Steve Ward.
A brace from Phil Edmondson earned Millom a 2-2 draw at Eagley, whose goals came through Jordan Hibbert and Lewis Rawsthorn.
Carnforth Rangers’ final game of the season ended in a 2-0 win over Kendal County, with Kyle Davis and Jonny Ash the goalscorers.
And completing our look at the week’s Division One action are Ulverston Rangers, who beat Askam United 2-1 thanks to goals from Ethan Cole and Josh Dockery.
Josh Jones would pull one back for Askam United with four minutes to play, but his side were unable to find a second goal.
A Tom Stevenson hat-trick helped Holker Old Boys Reserves secure a huge result at the top of the Division Two, with Brandon Collins also netting a 4-1 win over a Garstang Reserves side whose only goal was scored by Tom Graham.
But whilst that result helped earn Holker Old Boys Reserves promotion, Walney Island will fall just short, that despite a 4-2 win over Storeys.
Hayden Skyrme scored twice in the win, with Sam Beckman and Reece Craig also finding the net.
Storeys’ goals came via Josh Airey and Luke Barmby.
There was also a 4-2 win for Euxton Villa Reserves, whose triumph came on the road at Kendal United.
Alex Heredia-Kaye, Lewis Pilgrim, Nick Buckley and Lewis Thompson all netted for the visitors, with the latter scoring from the spot, whilst Kendal United’s goals came through Bailey Kenny and Jonny Voortman.
And we end this weekend’s roundup with the sole Division Two Reserve fixture played on Saturday, which saw Haslingden St Marys Reserves beat Storeys Reserves 9-0.
James Goodyear and Charlie Lord both scored hat-tricks, whilst Zac Simpson, Oliver Thompson and Zach Brierley also finding the net.
