There were two clashes between the teams who began the day in the top four of the Premier Division.
Firstly, Tempest United remain five points clear at the top and unbeaten in 10 at home after a 3-1 win versus Fulwood Amateurs, who dropped to fifth after other results went against them.
Jordan Pendlebury opened the scoring on the 38th and that was followed up by Josh Firth’s strike and Tom Booth’s converted spot kick in the second half.
Joey Higham pulled one back for Fulwood Amateurs late in the day.
There was drama in the closing stages of the other top four clash as CMB grabbed all three points at Burscough Richmond in a 2-1 win.
Carl Grimshaw scored inside 18 seconds for the visitors, the second time in three weeks that the CMB man has netted inside the first minute after his effort in the recent win at Hurst Green.
Burscough Richmond issued a quick response through Jake Whiley who scored on the fourth minute and, for the vast majority of the game, it looked like things would end one goal apiece.
However, Dylan Winstanley found the net in the last minute of normal time to give CMB a crucial three points to ensure that they continue to apply pressure on the leaders.
A 3-2 win for Rossendale against Eagley earned them a place in the top four.
They went two up with an hour gone as Sam Kershaw doubled the lead following Tom Hartley’s first half penalty.
Cole Collins got one back for Eagley but Rossendale’s two goal cushion was restored by Scott Wyllie who scored a spot kick.
Jordan Lomax made it 3-2 late on to give Eagley some hope of a comeback however Rossendale held on.
After a tightly contested first half, Milnthorpe won two penalties in five second half minutes which were both tucked away by Nathan Hankinson.
Danny Fletcher halved the deficit on 66 minutes but Hankinson completed his hat trick with little over five minutes left and, despite a late Carnan Dawson strike for Blackpool Wren Rovers, ‘Corinthians’ got the three points.
Poulton enjoyed a 2-0 win away at Lostock St Gerards, with Ralf Threlfall-Newton and Callum Dickinson getting on the scoresheet.
Haslingden St Marys beat Coppull United 1-0, Tom Brierley’s effort was the only difference between the two sides.
In Division One, Lytham Town inflicted just a second defeat of the season on leaders Millom in a 4-3 thriller.
Josh Graham gave Millom an early lead on four minutes but Danny Scarlett equalised shortly after the half hour mark.
Lytham took hold of the game in the second half as Rory Keilty gave his side the lead on 59 minutes and he added a second only 12 minutes later, but not before Alan Greenwood’s goal.
Millom attempted to complete a late comeback with goals from Theo Wilson and Jordan Williams but Lytham Town hung on to a huge victory.
Second placed Astley & Buckshaw, with games still in hand, seized the opportunity to reduce the gap to Millom to five points as they beat Southport Hesketh 3-1 at home.

Turton earned a 2-1 away win against Freckleton.
Cormac O’Mahoney scored from the penalty spot on 65 minutes before Danyil Prudnikov doubled the lead.
Marcus Kirton halved the deficit four minutes before full time.
Division Two leaders Pause United were on the winning side of an eight-goal thriller as they beat Bamber Bridge Reserves 5-3 at home.
Pause went two up thanks to Ben McMeeking and league top scorer Zac Clark (31).
Clark grabbed another but not before Brig Reserves’ first goal of the afternoon courtesy of Taylor Maguire.
Carson Greaves got another for the visitors seven minutes before the break to make things interesting.
Ben Roberts has been another prolific player for Pause this season (19) and he scored their fourth just two minutes after the restart.
He also got Pause’s fifth and final goal of the afternoon but a resilient Brig scored their third before that, Maguire again finding the net.
Two late goals from Thornton Cleveleys Reserves gave them a 4-2 win at Caton United.
Tommy Varey’s double cancelled out Adam Skinner and Billy Cartmell’s efforts which had given the visitors an early lead.
That lead was eventually restored though as Matthew Wood found the net on 79 minutes, before Horatio Medley made it four with moments remaining.
Euxton Villa Reserves and Storeys of Lancaster played out a thrilling 4-4 draw.
The hosts were 3-2 up at half time, Ryan Fox’s strike and Ethan Danku’s double meant they were just edging out Storeys, whose goals came from Clayton Brown and Josh Cunningham.
James Hale made it 4-2 on the 65th minute however Storeys made an impressive comeback late on.
Matthew Poole and Joe Waring’s goals on 78 and 86 minutes respectively rescued a draw.

Hawcoat Park and Stoneclough also drew 2-2 and this too featured late drama.
The hosts were two goals to the good inside 26 minutes courtesy of efforts from Reece Cresswell and Matty Roberts.
