In the Premier Division, Tempest United’s remarkable unbeaten record continued with a 5-0 win at Poulton.

All five goals were scored inside the opening 33 minutes of the game.

Jordan Pendlebury netted two penalties, Joel Shorthouse also bagged a brace and Tom Booth rounded off the goal action.

Third placed CMB secured a 4-2 home win against a determined Cleator Moor Celtic side.

The hosts took a 2-0 lead thanks to Callum Walsh and Carl Grimshaw but Leon Dymtroski pulled a goal back before the break.

Owen O’Neill equalised for the away side just before the half hour mark but Grimshaw restored CMB’s lead 10 minutes later and Charlie Scholes added a fourth in added time.

Fulwood Amateurs also earned a 4-2 win away to Eagley, however it was the hosts who got the opener.

Dylan Jackson-Cooney’s early strike was cancelled out just two minutes later by the division’s top scorer, Spencer Lucas.

Sammy Higham gave Fulwood Amateurs the lead with 10 minutes of the first half remaining and, within 10 minutes of the second half starting, that advantage was extended by Aaron Hewitt.

Lewis Nolan scored in the fifth minute of added time for Eagley which could have potentially sparked an extraordinary, late comeback but Spencer Lucas scored his second of the game and 19th of the season to secure the win for the visitors.

Haslingden St Marys were another team to put four past their opponents as they secured a 4-0 win at home to Whitehaven.

Michael White, Charlie Ridge and Jack Cain gave them a comfortable 3-0 lead heading into the break and Will Wystsnwcha was able to grab a fourth in the last minute of normal time.

Hurst Green came from a goal behind to beat Lostock St Gerards 2-1.

Mason McKay gave Lostock the lead from the penalty spot but Jordan Monk equalised on the stroke of half time.

The game looked as if it would end in a draw but Scott Craven scored an 87th minute winner for Hurst Green.

Second placed Burscough Richmond rescued a point late on at Blackpool Wren Rovers in a 1-1 draw.

Joe Preston put the hosts ahead on 75 minutes before Saul Guffog’s equaliser three minutes into time added on.

Division One‘s top scorers Millom produced another stunning performance to continue their unbeaten home record as they comprehensively beat Kendal County 9-1.

It was, however, Kendal County who struck first - Jude Close opened the scoring six minutes in, but after that, it was all Millom.

Kendal County’s lead lasted less than a minute as Jamie Pattinson levelled things up.

Pattinson went onto score twice more in the second half to complete a hat trick, Ben McDonald also netted three, Theo Wilson bagged two goals and Jordan Williams was also on the scoresheet.

Just one point separates Millom and top of the table Astley & Buckshaw after their 2-1 defeat away to Carnforth Rangers, their first loss since August 17.

George Drake gave Carnforth the lead inside five minutes and that was the difference at half time.

Astley & Buckshaw started the second half and equalised 48 minutes in through Callum Williams but the home side restored and secured their advantage on 70 minutes, Ricky Mwale with the deciding goal.

Askam United enjoyed a comfortable 5-0 win over Slyne with Hest, with five different players getting the goals.

Sam Purslow, Max Green, Aiden Pearson, Josh Jones and Max Pucknall all found the back of the net.

Chipping ran out 3-2 winners at Freckleton in a tightly-contested game.

Harris Bailey put the away side a goal to the good five minutes in before Cain Blows’ equaliser nine minutes before the break.

Gary Knight restored Chipping’s lead as they had another strong start to a half but Jack Williams’ goal meant they were pegged back once more.

It wasn’t until the 89th minute that the crucial goal was scored, Alex Howarth’s strike secured the three points.

Turton came from a goal down to beat Southport Hesketh 3-1.

They fell behind after an own goal and trailed at the break but came out for the second half like a different team.

Ben McCabe, Callum Hardman and Ethan Mason’s goals gave them the three points.

Holker Old Boys Reserves and Hesketh Bank drew 2-2 and there was drama late on.

The scoreline was 1-1 with 80 minutes on the clock thanks to goals from Noah Williams and Kevin Edgar respectively, but Dan Kirkby scored inside the final 10 minutes to give Hesketh Bank the lead.

However, Holker OB Resseves pushed for an equaliser and, on the 88th minute, they got it through Frankie Ellis.

There were goals aplenty in Division Two and Euxton Villa Reserves scored eight of them as they beat Galgate 8-1 away from home.

There were two goals each from Jake Green, Liam McNally and Jacob Greenhalgh, as well as an own goal before Galgate scored a consolation goal on 80 minutes.

Jack Bottoms got his side’s eighth to cap off a very enjoyable away day.

Division Two also served up two seven-goal thrillers on Saturday, starting with Charnock Richard Reserves beating Hawcoat Park 4-3 away from home.

Cole Heaton gave Charnock the lead inside two minutes before Diesel Wilkes pulled Hawcoat Park back level.

Ian Billington restored Charnock’s lead before adding his second to put a bit of daylight between the sides.

However, the hosts were not giving up and, thanks to Charlie Thompson and an own goal, made it 3-3 in the second half.

Dan Metge scored the game’s seventh, final and most important goal in the 81st minute to give Charnock the three points.

Stoneclough, one of the division’s top five teams who all won on Saturday, suffered a scare from Caton United but did just enough to win 4-3.

They took a 3-0 lead into the break thanks to a Kevin Myftaraja double and Jumaane Meggoe.

That lead was looking fairly comfortable until the 61st minute when Caton began their comeback.

Tommy Varey scored twice in four minutes before Kayne Taylor made it 3-3, just 20 minutes after a Stoneclough win was looking like a certainty.

That Stoneclough win did come but it was done the hard way, Ross Wakefield scored just in time - in the third minute of additional play.

Pause United remain top of the table after a 3-2 win at home to Storeys of Lancaster.

In some ways a similar story to the Stoneclough game, Pause had a healthy 3-0 lead at the break after goals from Jordan Lynch, Zac Clark - who scored his 23rd of the season - and Mani Davidson, but had to endure a testing second half.

Dominic Hoyle-Capstick and Tim Last brought the margin to just one and Storeys pushed for a third, but the leaders held on.

Mill Hill, who sit second but with two games in hand on Pause, eased to a 4-0 win over Dalton United.

Charlie Alston and Curtis Poole both scored twice.

Kendal United picked up three points once again with a 4-2 win at Thornton Cleveleys Reserves.

They came flying out of the traps and found themselves 2-0 up inside eight minutes, with Daniel Craig and Jamie Looker netting.

However, the hosts were far from down and out - they made it all square partway through the second half thanks to goals from Harry Fryer and Cole Pratt.

Despite losing the lead, Kendal United weren’t fazed and, with nine minutes to play, got back in front through Joe Hodgson before Jamie Looker made sure of the win.

Bamber Bridge Reserves were 3-0 victors at Walney Island, which led to them moving up to fourth in the table having now settled into life in the West Lancs League.

Lewis Pilgrim scored twice, either side of an Adam Stammers’ effort.

Finally in Division Two, Barnoldswick Town Reserves earned a 3-1 win at home to Garstang Reserves.

Joe Painter gave Garstang the lead but that only lasted four minutes as Kayson Doe brought things level.

Doe put ‘Barlick’ in front with three minutes of the second half played before Harley Everiss added another just three more minutes later.

In Reserve Division One, the two games were settled by fantastic first half displays.

Starting at Chipping Reserves who beat Eagley Reserves 4-1, Zach Wilson, Greg Timbrell and Gareth Jones all scored before the 30 minute mark.

Zach Wilson added his second and Chipping’s fourth on 50 minutes.

Eagley’s consolation was scored by Zach Karanga-Browne.

Tempest United Reserves saw off Blackpool Wren Rovers Reserves in a 3-1 win.

Josh Firth, Leiden McLean and Finn Topping gave Tempest a 3-0 advantage with the second half not even having started and, once it did, Blackpool Wren Rovers could only offer up a consolation through Luke Smith.

Several West Lancs League sides were in cup action in the Stewart Rowe Memorial Cup’s Preliminary Round.

Rossendale Reserves eased through to the next round with a 6-0 win over Turton Reserves.

Jack Mouncey scored twice while Brad Marsh, Milan Tinant, Oscar Edmondson and Alfie McDonald also found the net.

Stoneclough Reserves were the victors in an hugely entertaining, nine- goal thriller against Fulwood Amateurs A, who they beat 5-4.

Fulwood Amateurs went into half time 2-1 up thanks to two Josh Taylor strikes either side of a Milo Clarke goal.

Stoneclough turned the game around with just 10 minutes of the second 45 played, as Elliott Beaver bagged a double.

Finn Clarke made it three-all but Tyler Modd put Stoneclough back in front.

Fulwood Amateurs, however, were not going down lightly and Clarke added a second to make it anyone’s game once more.

Elliott Beaver scored the winner with two minutes to go, securing his hat trick and his side’s place in the hat.

Lostock St Gerards Reserves were 4-1 winners at home to CMB Reserves, with both side’s first goals being own goals.

Fraser Murdoch, Charlie Botham and Taylor Grafton were Lostock’s three scorers.

Carnforth Rangers Reserves were one of two away sides to progress - and the only ones to make it through without needing penalties - in a 3-2 win at Croston Sports Reserves.

Josh Hill opened the scoring for the hosts but Kieron Gorton and Ben Sykes flipped the game on its head before the break.

Nick Bracegirdle equalised with around an hour gone but Callum Darby’s strike sent Carnforth through.

Coppull United Reserves progressed past Lytham Town Reserves in a 2-1 win.

Dylan Bennett scored inside two minutes before Oliver Heywood’s equaliser.

Daniel Hallam restored Coppull’s lead on 34 minutes and Lytham Town were unable to respond after that.

Poulton Reserves needed penalties to edge past current holders Fulwood Amateurs Reserves following a 2-2 draw.

Isaac Webster, 10 minutes in, and Reece Jones, with 10 minutes to go, scored for Fulwood Amateurs, with Poulton’s strikes coming from Ben Bowker and Conna Smith.

Poulton Reserves were 5-4 winners from 12 yards.

Storeys of Lancaster Reserves beat Thornton Cleveleys A 7-6 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time.

Storeys were 2-1 up at the break after goals from Jake Baron and Oliver McDermott.

Reuben Williams scored Thornton Cleveleys’ goal in the first half and also got their equaliser in the second but this game would spell the end of his side’s cup campaign.
