Firstly, his beloved Garstang Football Club are back in The Bay Radio West Lancs. Premier League and at the time of writing had won their first two games.

Secondly, Steve has been the man mainly responsible for making the Riverside pitch and surroundings the best it has looked for many a long year.

But what will have made Steve most proud is the return of his son Lee to play for Garstang F.C. after four years away playing in a higher grade of football at A.F.C. Blackpool, Burscough and Squires Gate.

Steve has every reason to be proud and without people like him the Club would not function.
