Storeys up to fourth in Division Two promotion race

Storeys had the 'J squad' to thank for their win at Charnock Richard Reserves - namely Joe, Jim and Josh - as they moved into fourth in Division Two writes ROSS CHAPMAN with pictures of that game from STEVE TAYLOR.

In the Premier Division, Hurst Green eased to a 6-0 win over Cleator Moor Celtic.

Jake Craven bagged a hat trick, scoring the opening two goals of the game before later adding the third.

Jack Parker, Kian Ellis and Scott Craven were also on the scoresheet in the comprehensive win.

Tempest United remain unbeaten after 12 games and are three points clear at the top of the table after a 3-2 win away at Haslingden St Marys.

Ben Patel and Sam Parkinson put Tempest 2-0 up at half time but the hosts fought back to make it all square with 15 minutes to go, Alfie Edmondson and Charlie Holt levelling things up.

However, Elliott Hailwood regained Tempest’s lead with 11 minutes remaining and that’s how it finished.

Blackpool Wren Rovers enjoyed a 4-0 win at home to Coppull United.

Ric Seear got the first two goals, one from the penalty spot, which saw him become the division’s joint top scorer with 17.

Tarren Moxon and Danny Fletcher extended Wren Rovers’ lead in the second half to make it a straightforward afternoon for the team.

Milnthorpe Corinthians secured a 3-2 victory at Lostock St Gerards.

Dan Taylor gave them the lead before manager Garry Thompson doubled the lead.

Josh Sarda and Adam Key got Lostock back in the game though with quick fire goals in the second half, however Tim Blamier got the visitors back in front.

Rossendale’s unbeaten run at home carried on as they beat Whitehaven 3-1.

Ricco Pembele and Teal Amos gave them a 2-0 lead at the break before Josh Hilton reduced the deficit.

Any chance of Whitehaven getting a result late on was ended by Scott Wylie, who restored the hosts’ two goal advantage and put the game beyond any doubt.

A superb second half display from Poulton gave them a 3-1 win away at Eagley.

The hosts took the lead on 26 minutes through Alfie Cowen but Poulton turned on the style in the second half, with goals from Will Donegani, Dominik Gil and Billy Joyce winning them the game.

CMB picked up a 2-1 win against Burscough Richmond thanks to goals from Dylan Winstanley and Daniel Locke, while Lewis Corke scored for Burscough.

In Division One, the top three all secured wins, starting with second placed Millom, who put in a five star performance as they dispatched Lytham Town 5-0.

Ben Macdonald and Callum High both scored twice while Oliver Pachul also found the back of the net.

Astley & Buckshaw remain top of the division after a 3-0 win away to Croston Sports, with Christian Bolton, Tyrell Smith and Kurt Robinson all on the scoresheet.

Holker Old Boys Reserves sit in third after a 3-1 win at home to Kendal County.

The visitors took the lead through Harry Routledge but Holker were relentless in the second half.

Jordan McGarry equalised for them before Faryl Foster got their second and third of the afternoon.

Chipping defeated Hesketh Bank 3-1 with all goals coming in the final 20 minutes of the match.

Aaron Quigley put Chipping ahead on 70 minutes and, just five later, Harris Bailey made it two.

Kevin Edgar pulled one back for Hesketh Bank but, in the last minute of regular time, Bailey secured a brace as well as the three points for his side.

Ulverston Rangers earned a 2-1 win at home to Freckleton with Josh Cronin and Sean Mooney getting the goals either side of a Zach Smith strike for Freckleton.

Askam United were 1-0 winners away to Turton with the only goal of the game coming from Ben Phizacklea.

Southport Hesketh rescued a point at home to Carnforth Rangers in a 2-2 draw.

Ricky Mwale gave Carnforth the lead before Matthew Wignall equalised for the hosts.

Joe Jobling restored the away side’s advantage in the second half before Charlie Gray found a leveller two minutes into stoppage time.

Crooklands Casuals and Slyne with Hest drew 1-1, with Luke Armstrong and Ryan Rodgers getting the goals for their respective sides.

In Division Two, Dalton United enjoyed a comprehensive 5-0 away victory against Galgate.

Scott McDonald got himself a hat trick and Corey Fittes and Keith Holmes also scored.

Walney Island scored three times in the final 15 minutes of the game to beat Caton United 4-2.

Tommy Varey gave Caton the lead early on before Zach Walker equalised.

Caton retook the lead through Ryan Close and were in a winning position until the 75th minute.

Sam Hayes made it two-all before Jack Litherland gave Walney Island the lead and just a minute later, Jordan Chubb made it four.

The division’s top two both got wins on Saturday.

Leaders Pause United won 2-1 away at Stoneclough despite the hosts taking the lead.

Dean Smethurst put Stoneclough ahead six minutes before half time but Pause recovered in the second half with goals from Richard Hart and Will Prince.

Mill Hill remain second after beating third place Kendal United 3-1 on the road.

Curtis Poole gave them the lead before Jamie Harris equalised for Kendal.

However, the visitors got the three points thanks to Corey Cooke’s late double.

Storeys of Lancaster have moved up to fourth after a 3-2 away win at Charnock Richard Reserves.

Joe Waring scored the opener before Danny Regan equalised from 12 yards.

Jim Last and Josh Cunningham pushed Storeys into a 3-1 lead.

George Rose got one back for Charnock but it was too little, too late.

Euxton Villa Reserves secured a 3-2 home win over Thornton Cleveleys Reserves.

Harry Fryer netted first for Thornton Cleveleys Reserves before Mackenzie Brown turned the game around for Euxton.

Danny Hadcroft brought things level but David Prout restored the hosts’ advantage.

Hawcoat Park scored two late goals to beat Barnoldswick Town Reserves 2-1.

Sam Jefferson and Charlie Thompson scored in the 84th and 88th minutes before Harley Everiss halved the deficit.

Garstang Reserves completed a superb comeback to draw 3-3 at home to Bamber Bridge Reserves.

Lewis Pilgrim scored a first half hat trick to, you would think, put Brig’s Reserves in a very strong position heading into the second half.

However, Woody Howard’s goal five minutes into the second half threatened to spark a comeback and that is exactly what it did.

Lewis Heap got the second on 65 minutes and Tom Graham equalised with seven minutes until full time.

In Reserve Division One, Tempest United Reserves secured a 3-2 win over Haslingden St Mary's Reserves.

An own goal put Tempest ahead before Alex McKenzie doubled the lead five minutes into the second half.

Will Thompson pulled a goal back for Haslingden but their hopes of a comeback weren’t alive for long as Jude Platt made it 3-1.

Thompson got his second for Haslingden but that was five minutes into stoppage time and the last action of the game.

Turton Reserves beat Poulton Reserves 3-1, in large part thanks to early goals from Harley Morgan and Ryan Milne inside 15 minutes.

Hayden Wrathall scored on the stroke of half time for Poulton but James Buckley restored a two-goal cushion for Turton eight minutes into the second 45.

Top of the table Blackpool Wren Rovers Reserves continued their unbeaten run and their 100% record on the road with a 2-1 win at Coppull United Reserves.

Liam Hardman gave Coppull an early lead but Charlie King equalised soon after.

Ryan Nickless gave the visitors the win with his goal just before the hour mark.

Fulwood Amateurs Reserves rescued a point at home to CMB Reserves.

Alex Leigh gave the away side the lead 75 minutes in and that looked like it would be the only goal of the game but Jack Dawson equalised for Fulwood on the 90th minute.

Reserve Division Two’s most eye-catching game was Carnforth Rangers’ 5-1 win at home to Fulwood Amateurs A.

They have notched up five wins from five at home but Fulwood did take the lead to briefly put that record at risk.

Luke Thompson gave the visitors the lead but Will Mead and Josh Collins scored in quick succession after the half hour mark to turn the game around.

From then on, in the second half especially, they were in control of the game.

Will Mead, Scott Freeman and Will Beeden all netted inside the last 15 minutes to continue a very impressive home record.

Lytham Town Reserves beat Hurst Green Reserves 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Jake Molloy.

Division leaders Hesketh Bank Reserves let a three goal lead slip against Caton United Reserves in a 3-3 draw - it was, quite literally, a take of two halves.

Hesketh Bank took a 3-0 lead into the break thanks to two goals from Wesley Bajraliu and a Leon Johnson strike.

However, a determined Caton completed a second half comeback.

Declan Lightfoot scored twice and Adam Garnett also netted to get the side back on level terms.

Storeys of Lancaster Reserves and Stoneclough Reserves played out a 2-2 draw.

Luke Capstick put Storeys ahead before two Stoneclough goals inside four minutes courtesy of Alex Horden and Elliott Beaver.

Oliver Nuttall equalised in the second half and both teams went away with a point.

Pause United Reserves and Thornton Cleveleys A drew 1-1 with goals from Ollie Wilson and Adam Skinner respectively.
