Premier Division: Turton triumph over table toppers

Turton became the first side to secure maximum points against Poulton this season with a 1-0 win over the league leaders, with Ricardo Pembele’s 75th minute strike enough to secure victory.

Goals from Daniel Storey and Archie Lang helped Thornton Cleveleys to a 2-1 home win over Slyne with Hest, denying the visitors the opportunity to move level on points with Poulton at the top.

Luke Bradley was the scorer for Slyne with Hest.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Tempest United came from a goal down to pick up three points on the road at Fulwood Amateurs.

Matt Van Wyk opened the scoring for Fulwood Amateurs, but a double from Jordan Pendlebury, along with goals from Elliott Hailwood and Kurt Farlow, would ultimately seal a 4-1 win.

CMB eventually triumphed over Wyre Villa, who played most of the game with 10 men after an early red card, after a thrilling second half where five goals were scored in 25 minutes.

It took until the 65th minute for the deadlock to be broken courtesy of Wyre Villa’s Luke Walker, before goals from Dylan Winstanley, Oliver Turner and Ben Thornton established a two-goal lead for CMB with eight minutes to play.

Luke Smith would halve deficit to give Wyre Villa hope heading into injury time, but CMB would hold on to claim a 3-2 victory.

A brace from Olly Hesford saw Blackpool Wren Rovers win 2-1 at Milnthorpe Corinthians, with Will Booth finding the net for the hosts.

Vickerstown would also score a 2-1 victory as they came from behind to Coppull United thanks to goals from Jordan Dix and Diesel Wilkes. Jody Mattock had earlier opened the scoring for Coppull United.

Early quickfire goals from Owen Woodburn and Lewis Tidy helped Whitehaven beat Burscough Richmond 3-1.

Josh Niblock pulled one back for Burscough Richmond early in the second-half, but Carl Denver would add a third for Whitehaven just after the hour to make sure of the points.

Finally in the Premier Division, there was late drama at Lytham Town, where Hurst Green rescued a point in the 90th minute as the two sides played out a 2-2 draw.

Goals from Rory Kelly and Danny Scarlett, either side of one from Hurst Green’s Daniel Mort, had given Lytham Town a 2-1 lead, before Jordan Monk levelled the game for the visitors in the last minute of normal time.

Division One: Rossendale hit nine in fine display

Tom Hulme led the scoring for Rossendale as he netted four in a 9-0 win over Croston Sports.

Scott Wylie also scored twice, while Michael Saunders, Tom Hartley and Joe Howarth grabbed a goal each.

That result leaves Rossendale second, and trailing just behind are current third-placed side Lostock St Gerards, who also picked up a handsome victory this weekend.

An Oliver Evans hat-trick, Danny Ormerod’s double and a strike from Lewis Pilgrim saw Lostock St Gerards run out 6-0 winners away at Crooklands Casuals.

Neither closed the gap on league leaders Hesketh Bank though, as they picked up a ninth consecutive victory against Millom.

Hesketh Bank were twice pegged back by Millom in the first-half, with a Theo Wilson strike and Ben McDonald’s penalty cancelling out goals from Nathan Gonzalez and Tom Smyth.

However, Luke Smith and Danny Birkby both found the net after the break to ensure Hesketh Bank’s 100% record remaining intact for yet another matchday.

Askam United recovered from going a goal down to put five past Stoneclough, including three goals in seven minutes late on.

Brad Tyldsley put Stoneclough in front, only for Callum Rayner to quickly equalise for Askam United from the spot.

Lee Irving completed the turnaround early in the second half, before strikes in the 85th, 88th and 92nd minute from Declan Baines, Ben Phizacklea and Phizacklea again made sure of the win for Askam United.

Carnforth Rangers would have to settle for a point despite making a rapid start to their game at Eagley.

Tom Knight found the net within the opening minute for the visitors, but would see his strike cancelled out by Tom Morgan.

Damian Murphy would put Carnforth Rangers in front again, only for Eagley’s Kieran Sissons to level the game at its eventual final score of 2-2 just five minutes later.

Goals from Connor Walmsley and Berand Santos helped Kendal County past Southport Hesketh 2-1, despite conceding an own goal which had levelled the game in the first-half.

A Matthew Hancock strike and an own goal saw Horwich St Mary’s Victoria pick up a 2-0 win over Hawcoat Park.

Haslingden St Marys would edge past Ulverston Rangers 1-0 courtesy of a Jordan Lewis strike on the hour.

Division Two: Top three taste victory

It remains a three-way tie at the Division Two summit as Walney Island, Chipping and Freckleton all took maximum points on Saturday.

Currently sitting top, but having played game more than their counterparts, are Walney Island, who overcame Pause United 4-2 despite being pegged back twice.

Zack Walker, Bailey Murrell, Joe Pearson and Matthew Lockley all found the net for Walney Island, while Wayne Beswick and Jamie Taylor were the scorers for Pause United.

A first-half Rick Coar hat-trick powered second-placed Chipping to victory at Euxton Villa Reserves, with Ash Ball scoring what would prove to be a consolation for the hosts.

Freckleton, currently third, also won 3-1 on the road as they secured three points over Garstang Reserves.

Goals from Graham Lyons, Joe Bentley and Kiefer Cunningham sealed victory for the visitors, as Garstang Reserves’ only goal came through a Tom Graham penalty late on.

In-form Jordan Chubb opened and rounded off the scoring as Dalton United beat Galgate 5-0. Jonathan While, Robert Baker and Alex Bolland also got on the scoresheet.

AFC Blackpool Reserves came from a goal down to beat Cartmel 4-1, with Aaron Fleming and Cole Knott turning the game around.

Cartmel’s Ryan Patterson had scored the game’s opening goal after an hour. Two own goals would make sure of the points for AFC Blackpool Reserves.

A stoppage time equaliser for Charnock Richard Reserves saw them play out a 1-1 at Storeys.

Storeys’ Will McGaragher finally broke the deadlock with just nine minutes of normal time to play, but Sam Milburn would level the game again in the 92nd minute to seal a point for the visitors.

Burnley United left it late to secure a home victory against Kendal United, with Michael White scoring the only goal of the game in the 83rd minute to give hosts a 1-0 win.

Holker Old Boys would also win 1-0, as Farrell Foster’s effort proved decisive away at Astley and Buckshaw.

Division One Reserve: Ten out of ten performance from Thornton Cleveleys Reserves

There were some remarkable individual hauls at Croston Sports Reserves, where Thornton Cleveleys Reserves ran out 10-3 winners.

Dan Summer and Tommy Dollin got five and four respectively for the visitors, whilst Oliver Jones netted a hat-trick for Croston Sports Reserves despite being on the losing side.

Summer's quintet of goals all came in the first 30 minute with the opener arriving with less than 60 seconds on the clock.

Thornton Cleveleys Reserves’ Harry Fryer completed the scoring.

A pair of penalties from Denan Charles helped Turton Reserves beat Tempest United Reserves 5-2.

Teador Slavov, Joe Sigworth and Harry Edwards also scored for Turton Reserves, while Nick Skelly and Kallum Russell found the net for Tempest United Reserves.

League leaders Lostock St Gerards Reserves maintained their unbeaten record as Adam Whittaker’s goal secured a 1-0 win over Poulton Reserves.

Jamie Farnworth and Harry Dixon helped Horwich St Mary’s Victoria Reserves beat CMB Reserves 2-1 after their side had gone a goal down through a first-half own goal.

Second half strikes from Sam Wood and Will Simm saw Fulwood Amateurs Reserves beat Blackpool Wren Rovers Reserves 2-0.

Liam Hardman would prove to be the hero for Coppull United Reserves as his goal two minutes from time sealed a 1-0 win over Hurst Green Reserves.

Division Two Reserve: Fulwood Amateurs A do it the hard way

Fulwood Amateurs A recorded their first win of the season in dramatic fashion, as they came from 3-0 down to win 4-3 against Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves.

A goal from Danny Byrom and two from Adam Pashley gave Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves a three-goal lead after just 15 minutes, before Matthew Billington, Chris Pye, Jacob Taylor and Dom Flanigan all found the net to complete an incredible comeback.

Rossendale Reserves made it four wins from four to at the top of the table as they beat Hesketh Bank Reserves 2-0 thanks to goals from Ben Lomax and Harry Buckley.

Eagley Reserves would also pick a 2-0 victory, with goals from Gary Ash and Rhys Harvie securing the win over Thornton Cleveleys A.

Two goals from Kahiel Crosdale, along with strikes from Euan Atkinson, Eoin Atkinson and Jacob Shilton saw Chipping Reserves beat Storeys Reserves 5-0.

Rounding off the weekend’s action, Carnforth Rangers Reserves held on to take a 3-2 home win over Lytham Town Reserves.

Curtis Graham, Oliver Paterson and Kyle Davis established a 3-0 lead for Carnforth Rangers Reserves, before goals from Tom Bell and Kai Clarkson gave Lytham Town Reserves hope late on.
