ALAN WESTHEADS 50 YEAR SERVICE AWARD WITH A PRESENTATION FROM THE LFA ON

Alan Westhead became a member of Tempest United when he was 17 years old and started playing for the team, he had previously spent his earlier teenage years playing for Bolton Wanderers Youth team. In his mid 20’s Alan became a prominent member of the committee and continued playing for Tempest until he was 37 years old.
Over the years Alan has devoted every spare minute of his time to the Club, his dedication is further expressed with the support and experience he has.
He continues to provide this support and experience to players, managers, members and volunteers of the club.
No matter what personal experiences Alan has had to overcome over the years he has always found the time, energy, commitment and dedication to carry on, and through this he has enabled over 3 decades of young footballers to enjoy amateur football to the full.
Alan has always provided stability, reliability and true professionalism. He is regarded with the up most respect from all who knows him.
Dedication, selflessness, commitment and professionalism are just a few of the words we would use to describe Alan,
Amateur Football Clubs like Tempest United are only able to survive with the generosity, commitment and support from individuals like Alan ,
Volunteers are the lifelines of these clubs existence and their time and effort is appreciated beyond doubt
Not only is 50 years service a remarkable achievement, but 50 years service, to one club is extraordinary to say the very least.
