Danny Matthews, presenter of The Bay Breakfast said,

“I am incredibly proud to be presenting the Number One Breakfast Show across The Bay and working for the Number One station too! It’s fantastic to know that more people than for over a decade are listening to The Bay and for longer too. The Bay is the first choice for great music, local news and local sport and information about events across North Lancashire, South Cumbria and The Furness Peninsula. The Bay has comprehensive traffic and travel and weather reports and we also have great public services such as our Schools’ Closure Line, Flood Line and even a missing pets service.”

Phil Rodgers, Programme Controller for The Bay added,

“These incredible figures are testament to the hard work, creativity and focused programming at The Bay. All of our presenters and news team are exceptionally knowledgeable about the areas they cover and the listening figures are a confirmation that we are firmly under the skin of the communities we serve. We work with scores of charities and community groups across The Bay. Coming in our 21st year on air, these results are the best early Birthday present that The Bay could ask for!”
