It’s really really sad that I write to tell you that our club legend and much loved friend Ernest Charnock has sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning after a short illness.

I don’t think we will ever be able to replace him for his passion for Turton football club and for All he’s done in the 52 years associated with the club
