Turton off and running in derby delight

Turton picked up their first points of the season with a morale-boosting win over neighbours Tempest United.

After five straight defeats, Sam Hulme's effort midway through the first half was enough to secure the three points.

Tempest are in ninth after three wins and three defeats from their six games.

In Division One, Holker Old Boys Reserves are up to third thanks to a 90th minute Luke Davey strike in a 3-2 win over Millom.

A Jordan McGarry double put Holker two to the good at the break but Millom fought back, levelling through Danny and Jamie Pattinson.

Davey then stepped up to secure the three points for Holker.

Hesketh Bank turned round a half-time deficit to win 3-1 at Croston.

Harvey Parker put Croston ahead but two second half penalties from Richard Burns swung the game in Bank's way with Joe Roach sealing the win late on.

Freckleton made it five wins from six and boosted their goal difference with a 7-0 win at Stoneclough in Division Two.

Callum Williams and Saul Hamer both hit trebles with Kiefer Cunningham also on the scoresheet.

Garstang Res are in second thanks to a 3-1 win at home to Hawcoat Park, who had taken a 38th minute lead via Sam Beattie.

Daniel Squires equalised almost immediately and his second, plus a Tom Graham strike, earned the win at the Riverside.
