Twitter Account

By Chris Wight

Does your Club have a Twitter Account?

This last year we have used Twitter as a social media platform to further enhance the media outlets which we use to raise the profile of the league and its member clubs.

We now have in excess of 1,250 followers and this is growing.

A number of clubs have also started to use Twitter and we intend to again next year continue to put out news items, fixtures, results and latest scores through the leagues Twitter account.

Please could clubs if not already consider setting up an account so that we can enhance our coverage. Please note that the league will only use information from official club Twitter accounts and other approved sources.

Please note can you also ensure when providing scores and results information that you include both teams as on a match day from your Tweet it is not always clear who your opponents are.

Please also add @westlancsleague to your Tweet to enable us to ensure that your Tweet is re-tweeted to all our followers getting your club greater coverage.

Please also remember that by using Twitter you are in fact broadcasting and as such any comments or tweets should not in any way be offensive or abusive or bring your club, the league or the County FA into disrepute.

Thank you

League Development Officer
