Matthew Howard put the struggling home team in the driving seat once more but Jack Arrowsmith’s 93rd-minute goal proved decisive and both teams left with a point.
Poulton picked up a huge win over Tempest United. Jack Wyres-Roebuck scored the only goal in a game that served to give Poulton a leg up in their battle to escape the bottom two.
Division 1: Kendal conquer Crooklands
In a vital scrap at the bottom of the table, Kendal County ran out as 2-1 winners over Crooklands Casuals to move nine points clear of their opponents.
Matthew Casson and Bailey Carlos were the scorers for Kendal with Joey Blackshaw’s sole effort rendered irrelevant by the prowess of his opponents.
Ulverston Rangers beat Hawcoat Park 3-1 with Sam Pinnegor netting a brace for the home side.
Pinnegor opened and closed the scoring on the day, with Callum Fawcett and Jordan Chubb’s goal being sandwiched in between.
Division 2: Storeys score early and Cartmel get gory
Storeys scored three goals within the first 20 minutes of their game against Chipping. Jon Pedder got the first two before a tenth of the match had been played, with Gary Elderton adding one more before a further 10 minutes had passed. Jon Ross scored for Chipping in what was eventually a 3-2 victory for Storeys.
Cartmel & District put five past relegation-threatened Galgate. Ryan Patterson’s double was added to by Karl Davidson, Aiden Pearson and Danny Reeve, whilst Jack Preston bagged a brace for Galgate.
Walney Island eventually triumphed over Freckleton in a back-and-forth game that saw the home side fall behind twice before eventually winning the game.
Reece Jones and Dylan Agnew were the scorers for Freckleton with James Bailey, Bailey Murrell and Zach Walker netting for Walney Island.
Kendal United beat Dalton United 3-1 on the road. Ryan Close, Matthew Kennedy and Danny Craig scoring for the travellers before a late own goal added an element of respectability to the scoreline for Dalton.
Division 1 Reserve: Bagot, Simms and Stead score two goals per head
Matthew Bagot, Liam Simms and Jon Stead scored two goals apiece in Hurst Green Reserves’ 6-0 victory over Horwich St Marys Victoria Reserves in the division’s highest-scoring game of the weekend.
Thornton Cleveleys Reserves beat Eagley Reserves 3-0 thanks to goals from Tommy Dollin, Harry Fryer and Byron Greenwood.
Luke Smith’s 70th-minute effort was not enough to win Blackpool Wren Rovers Reserves a point over Lostock St Gerards Reserves.
The goals of Oliver Oxley and Harry Sawyer were enough for Lostock to prevail.
Adam Shorrock scored the winner for Tempest United Reserves in their 2-1 success over CMB Reserves. Sam Hulme had initially levelled for CMB after Nick Skelly’s opener.
Division 2 Reserve: Tarren terrorises Fulwood Amateurs A
Tarren Moxon scored an unbelievable five goals in Lytham Town Reserves’ 8-4 win over Fulwood Amateurs A.
Dec Preyzner scored twice also for the home side with Matt Rhodes netting the eighth. Jamie Lynch, Matthew Billington, Louis Botes and Micheal Cooper scored for the away side.
Elliott Taylor scored twice in Hesketh Bank Reserves' 4-1 win over Chipping Reserves.
David Yates and Corey Dixon were the other scorers for the winning side with Henry Harrison the unfortunate scorer for the losing side.
Coppull United Reserves beat Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves 2-0 thanks to goals from Daniel Fishwick and Gregg Brickell.
Finley McCole and Spencer Cunliffe were the scorers in a 1-1 draw between Carnforth Rangers Reserves and Haslingden St Marys Reserves.
Cup Round-up
In the Presidents Cup, Haslingden St Marys defeated Horwich St. Marys Reserves 4-3 to advance into the third round.
They are joined by Milnthorpe Corinthians - who defeated Croston Sports 3-0 with goals from Steven Yawson, Nathan Hankinson and Brandon Crosskill-Robinson - and Wyre Villa - who defeated Hesketh Bank on penalties after drawing 2-2 in normal time.
The other team that advanced to the third round of the Presidents Cup is Millom, who won 4-1 over Eagley, with Theo Dreghorn, Harry Cowley, Danny Pattinson and Theo Wilson scoring for the winning team and Bailey Wallace scoring for the defeated Eagley.
In the Stewart Rowe Memorial Cup, Euxton Villa Reserves beat Rossendale Reserves 4-1.
Ashley Ball opened the scoring but was pegged back by Rossendale through Jonathan Booth.
Euxton’s quality in front of goal eventually shone through though and Danny Morris, Niall Maloney and Ashley Ball - bagging his second of the game - saw the game run away from Rossendale.
Galgate Reserves are also through, having beaten Croston Sports Reserves 3-1.
Jimmy McLennon scored within a minute for the home side and Josh Smith’s quickfire double took the game away from the visitors, despite Ben Milnes’ 75th-minute goal.
Turton were the final team to advance, Dylan Jeffs scoring twice - and Kevin Myftaraga scoring once - in a 3-0 win over Burscough Richmond Reserves.
Burnley United and Charnock Richard Reserves played out a 0-0 draw in the second round of the Challenge Cup, with Charnock eventually winning on penalties.
Coppull United also won in penalties in their Richardson Cup game against Vickerstown, which ended 1-1 after full time.
